Riot Games’s premier TV show is set to launch on Netflix on November 6, 2021. It features several characters from the game, notably Jinx, Vi, Caitlyn, Jayce, Heimerdinger, and Viktor, and will introduce new characters for the show and to the game.

Arcane is set in Piltover and Zaun; Piltover is an advanced cyberpunk city, and Zaun is its chemically-ruined underbelly. The story will follow two sisters, Jinx and Vi, as one descends into madness and criminality while the other grows to work for Piltover’s police. It is a prequel story for the sisters, who are popular characters in the game.

Fans of the game are excited to see their favorite characters come to life; for years, Riot has created short lore animations that left players clamoring for more. While Riot doesn’t have its own animation department, it has consistently contracted phenomenal animation studios. For this show, Riot is working with Fortiche Productions. Arcane’s style is consistent with Riot’s overall aesthetic, and from the trailer, the animation studio has spared no expense. It stands up to some of Riot’s best cinematics.
