Course Summary
I took this class in Spring of 2022. In Digital Brown Bag, I learned things typically left uncovered in academia–how to utilize credit cards and protect your identity, how to make business cards, and more–that are vital to surviving in the real world. It was fascinating to take a step out of the classroom and hear from real-life success stories–and some alumni–about what to do beyond college. The advice was varied and appreciated; some speakers talked about preserving work-life balance, while others promoted getting on that grind. It all served to show that different people thrived on different styles of work-life balance, which was refreshing to hear. One of my biggest struggles is networking, so having a class that is, in a way, dedicated to helping students do so was extremely helpful and encouraging.
